Gabi Schmidt and I worked together on the redesign of Hindi Hindustan, the vernacular daily from the HT Media stable. The project was challenging. The unfamiliar outweighed the familiar. Different language, different audience, vast reach and a different work culture.
Nevertheless, Gabi used her people management skills to get under the skin of the project and deliver as ‘one of us’. Her affable and encouraging manner drew the best out of the team members. The end-result – a vibrant, intelligent and inclusive design solution – was in keeping with this synergy.
